Choosing the right garage door is tricky as finding the right pillow for you.
When it comes to your garage, wether it’s used to park your car or as your dream workshop, a garage door is needed.
It may seems to many that this is a minor issue but choosing the right garage door is as important as your front door if not more.
There are three types of garage doors which are most commonly used. Also, you can choose from a variety of materials and layouts (with or without windows or entirely from tempered glass)
Single panel garage doors
These type of garage doors are constructed out of one single panel, which can swing up overhead. This type is commonly used as it allows a Hugh variety of designs and materials ranging from wood to aluminum and glass to choose from.
These doors can be open and closed manually with the help of a powerful spring. In addition, you can go with an electric opener – this can be paired with a Wi-Fi smart home environment. (Like opening the door from your smartphone).
The budge for this type of garage door is usually lower.
Sectional garage doors
Sectional garage doors are constructed out off a few individual pieces (usually three to eight). There’s no difference for space the occupy but it does allow for bigger space when operated. This type can be used in a small garage or a big car.
There’s one more advantage to sectional garage doors and it’s the cost of repairs. If a single panel garage door is damaged you need to replace the whole door as for the sectional garage doors you can replace just the damaged panel.
Sheet garage doors
Sheet doors or roller doors are mostly used in commercial areas because they are built from robust materials such as steel and can be very noisy when operated.
Operated by hand with a pulley system or with motorized openers they are a great solution for your warehouse, storage unit or business.
